AMERICAN PANCAKES

Pancakes hold an important place in Swedish culinary heritage, but sometimes it’s fun to switch things up with their decadent American cousin filled with blueberries and chocolate. These are also better suited for outdoor eating as you can hold them in your hand. Prepare the pancake batter at home and carry it in a bottle or thermos.

Ingredients:
250 ml flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
A pinch of salt
250 ml milk
2 tbsp browned butter
1 egg
Butter for frying
Blueberries
Chocolate

Eat with fresh berries, syrup, or chocolate sauce, and if you really want to indulge; ice cream!
Instructions:
PREPARE AT HOME

Brown the butter.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Whisk in the milk, butter, and egg until smooth.

Pour the batter into a bottle or thermos.
COOK OUTSIDE

Heat the frying pan and grease with butter.

Pour the batter into the pan in the desired size.

Add blueberries and/or chocolate pieces to the pancake.

Flip when bubbles start to form on the top.

Enjoy with fresh berries.
